Small Business Festival 2013, with the City of Monash

Small business workshops work best when they turn digital advice into practical website and content decisions. Reach Digital and the City of Monash delivered sessions on social media, video and mobile websites during Victoria's Small Business Festival.

Practical digital workshops for Melbourne businesses

In August 2013, Reach Digital worked with the City of Monash to run workshops as part of Victoria's Small Business Festival, a month long program of low cost and free events held across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The sessions covered two practical topics for small business owners: social media marketing and mobile website design, with Reach Digital leading the social media and video content.

Turning social activity into useful website content

Feedback collected at the sessions was positive, and Reach Digital noted interest in returning for the following year's festival.

The format stayed practical throughout: short presentations followed by time for business owners to ask questions specific to their own website and social channels, with the aim of turning that activity into a clearer online presence rather than social posts on their own.
